Pinch, punch 1st of the month!

...bagsy no returns!

If like us, you are totally caught off guard that it is MARCH today, you may well have forgotten it is World Book Day on Thursday! YES, this Thursday!!!!!

THERE WILL BE NO P.E THIS THURSDAY for obvious (costume) reasons! Although it would have been comical to watch 30 Harry Potter’s, Matilda’s, Snow White’s run around playing basketball or hockey!

This year the children can dress up as ANY character from a book, even better if they have the book to bring in and show their class! There are no constraints on what they can wear, but the whole point of World Book Day is to inspire and stimulate the children's imaginations. So, bearing that in mind, help us encourage their love of books and reading with their costume.

…and WORLD BOOK DAY DISCOS ALSO ON 3RD MARCH ARE STILL AVAILABLE TO BOOK!!!!!

Did you know in the UK, nearly 400,000 children don’t have a book of their own???? Having access to books and developing a love of reading for pleasure is vital for a child’s future. Our vision is to see more children, from all backgrounds, developing a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and benefitting from the improved life chances this brings them.

Nurseries, schools and libraries will be joining us across the UK celebrate World Book Day with a huge range of events.

World Book Day celebrates the joy and value of books and reading, especially for children. To help them continue their reading journey, every child receives a £1 World Book Day Token. You can find out more about the books at worldbookday.com/books

Children are never too young to start their journey with books, and the benefits of reading are enormous-so we hope, like us, you will use World Book Day to celebrate with your child.

Thank-you for your continued support
