FLIGHT DAY 27/11/18 (amended date)

To commemorate 100th Anniversary of the RAF with WW1 Week:

FLIGHT DAY 27/11/18 (amended date)

We had planned to celebrate with a "Flight Day," where the children are all invited to dress up. However, due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone this to the new date of TUESDAY 27th NOVEMBER 2018.

Outfits could include anything from pilots, to mechanics, The Wright Brothers to Amelia Earhart, aviators, engineers, inventors, or aviation pioneers, basically anyone who could be generally credited with inventing, building, and flying.

Stockport Parade of Light – Sunday 11th November 2018

It will process from St. Mary’s Church in the Marketplace via St. Peter’s Square where it will stop for a short theatrical piece by a WW1 soldier and an army field nurse and will end by the steps of Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery for the lighting of a beacon at 7pm, part of a national chain of 1000.
