International World Languages Day 23th September 2022

Salut, Hola, Guten Tag, Konichiwa....
Next week's we celebrate the extravaganza of World Languages Day on Friday 23th September.
The whole day will be spent learning about the language and the country allocated to each year group, via song, dance, art, food, Geography... The aim is to really embed the language and culture of the country for the whole day in school.
The children can come into school either wearing clothes which represent the country (e.g Japanese kimono, karate jackets...) or any clothes which are the colours of the country's flag. Please don't go spending lots of money - just whatever you can fashion at home, its just a bit of fun to get the children feeling involved.
At the end of the day we will have assemblies where each year group can showcase some of the language they have learnt and activities they have carried out.
The year groups are:
Nursery & Reception: No country - Own Clothes Day
Year 1 AND all of class 1/2LJ - France
Year 2 Italy
Year 3 Spain
Year 4 Japan
Year 5 Germany
Year 6 Wales
Merci, Arigato, Danke, Gracias...
