Ordering lunch in advance at home using LunchHound
Now that we are 6 months into using LunchHound, the new lunchtime provision from Taylor Shaw is working well and the quality of food and variety of choice has clearly improved.
90% of our children are now successfully ordering their school lunches, in advance at home, using the Lunch Hound app. This saves time and any unnecessary distress to children, knowing what they will be having to eat before they come to school each day.
With this success rate, the teachers are no longer taking morning lunch orders in the classrooms as it cuts into valuable teaching time.
Therefore, if you do not have the facility to order on-line at home, do not have the internet or a smartphone, your child is still able to order meals in school but they needs to report to the Office BEFORE 9.15am to select their meal choice. An email has been sent with a attachment to remind you how to register & log on to the LunchHound.
If no meal choice has been selected by this time, your child will automatically get the default setting (which is the baked potato) but this is not always preferable to individuals and therefore can be problematic.
If you wish to change your child over from packed lunches to school meals or visa versa, please can you inform the office in writing with two weeks notice so this change can be processed.
