In response to your feedback - PE dress code

Dear Parents and Carers,

Firstly, I would like to thank all the parents and carers who have given us feedback on our proposed changes to our policy regarding uniform, in particular PE kits. As a team we have looked at all the feedback both positive and negative and taken onboard all your thoughts as we believe in working in partnership and value your comments and support.
With this in mind we have decided that after half term children will continue to be allowed to wear their PE to school on the day they have PE. However, I must stress this is not a weekly non-uniform day and our PE dress code must be followed to allow this to happen. As a staff team we require the support of all parents to ensure this policy can continue moving forward. Please see below our PE dress code.

PE Kit
School sweatshirt/navy jumper (School Leavers hoodie for year 6)
Plain white t-shirt
Black/navy tracksuit bottoms/leggings or shorts – Must be unbranded and plain
Sensible trainers

Please can I request the support of all parents and carers with this matter to ensure my staff are not spending time making individual phone calls to you regarding the appropriateness of your child’s PE kit.
Reception classes will continue to get changed for PE as this is part of the EYFS curriculum.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Taylor
Headteacher
