KS1 & KS2 (Yr 1-6) World Book Day 2019 Open Afternoon 2.30-3.50pm

Dear KS1 & KS2 (Yr1-6) Parents/Carers,

📚📖 World Book Day 📚📖 takes place on Thursday 7th March 2019. Please join us in helping your child to make the most of this special occasion.

We would also like to invite all parents/carers from KS1 & KS2 (Year 1-6) to come into school from 2.30pm-3.05pm for an informal session to learn more about how reading is taught and to visit your child’s class to see a range of activities and opportunities that your child experiences.

You will need to enter and leave the school building via the Hall entrance, where Mr. Langley will meet and greet you.

Children will leave school at the usual time and parents can not take their child at 3:05. They must meet them at the usual place and the usual time.

Nurseries, schools and libraries across the UK celebrate World Book Day with a huge range of events. This year the children can dress up as ANY character from a book, even better if they have the book to bring in and show their class! There are no constraints on what they can wear, but the whole point of World Book Day is to inspire and stimulate the children's imaginations. So, bearing that in mind, help us encourage their love of books and reading with their costume.

World Book Day celebrates the joy and value of books and reading, especially for children. To help them continue their reading journey, every child receives a £1 World Book Day Token. You can find out more about the books at worldbookday.com/books

Children are never too young to start their journey with books, and the benefits of reading are enormous-so we hope, like us, you will use World Book Day to celebrate with your child.

Thank you for your support 📚📖
