Local Authority Public Health Update

We are sure you have all been hearing the news reports this weekend about infections in children and we are aware that many of you have been responding with increased anxiety.
To help us all understand more, the Local Authority & Public Health team have compiled the very helpful attached letter for you.
Don't forget if your child has still not had their flu vaccination, IntraHealth are offering a 3rd and final school visit as a catch-up for the flu vaccination. Do not wait to go to your doctors. Most GPs will not have the allocated time to do the vaccination so this could be the only opportunity to receive the flu vaccination during this year’s flu season.
The consent link has been reopened: https://www.nhsimms.uk/FLU/information?Id=106034&Type=FLU and will close on the night of Wednesday 7th December, for our session in school on Friday 9th December.
Those children who have already received the vaccination do not need to consent as they should not be vaccinated again and those who do not respond will not have their children vaccinated as we only vaccinate with the consent of the parent/guardian
Please stay safe and well this winter.
