Winter Covid Grant being used to support FSM families during February half-term

Dear Parents of children on the FSM register,

If your child is not in school during this Lockdown 3.0 you will have already received an EdenRed voucher for 4 weeks in January. 2 weeks worth of EdenRed vouchers will be produced AFTER half term for the 2 weeks until our expected/tentative return date to school.

We now have news that Stockport Council will once again be issuing vouchers to families eligible for benefit related free school meals who attend Stockport schools in half term.

These vouchers will be issued electronically to parents email address held, and will be issued to coincide with the February half term week. The vouchers will be issued using the PayPoint system which can be redeemed in many local stores supporting PayPoint, and can be used for food, fuel and other winter essentials. https://consumer.paypoint.com/ . 

Where possible, it is advised that you use participating major supermarkets and outlets linked to Post Offices Any families without an email address will receive a supermarket voucher in the post.

Families will receive vouchers to the value of £20 per eligible child. The additional £5 per eligible child reflects the closure of schools as part of the current national lockdown and the increased costs such as household fuel and heating as a result.

In order to ensure you receive your voucher please make sure your contact information is up to date with your child’s school, or you can email benefitsfsm@stockport.gov.uk.
